How To Relive Theatre Again In India

The status of the theatre in the current society is not as impactful in the comparison of the other medium.  Even after so many efforts of the government we are not able to make it as impact full  as the other source of media. There are some recommendations which can literally help in making theatre again as important as it was around 5,000 year ago.
To make theatre successful again in India, we first have to target the audience. As we all know it the audience which either make the show flop or hit, hence we have to first their interest in the theatre. For this the theatre artist should conduct the workshop, lecture demonstrations and showing the importance of the theatre in the front of the school child.
We can make the theatre a optional subject like other subject such as physical education. This will help the children to know in the starting there potential as the theatre artist and will improve and nourish their skills.
They can use and develop informal spaces so as to expand their reach and bring regular performances to different neighbourhoods.
Government also play a very important role as they should start providing all the other resources such as stage where they can perform, equipments, dress/costume etc. The government should also include the private sector along with them which will ultimately help in improving the standard of the theatre.
In the end, it is not the responsibility of the government but it is also responsibility too for improving the standard of the theatre as it is considered as one of the legacy which India is holding on its shoulder around 5000 years and now it  is our duty to carry this legacy forward to maintain it essence in the society.

8th edition of theatre olympic

It was the first time that the 8th edition of Theatre Olypmics had been held in India which initiative  taken by the national school of  drama under the Ministry of Culture. The event was inaugurated in New Delhi by the Vice President of India(Venkaih Naidu) on Feeb 17, 2018. It run under the theme of the flag of friendship.  The main concept of the theatre Olympics is started by the Theodorus Terzopolous in 1993 which happened in the Greece, Delphi. This theatre olympics include 500 plays & 700 ambience performances from all across the world and Allied activities like exhibitions, seminars, symposia, interactive discussions and workshops with well-known academicians, authors, actors, designers and directors will be held.
