View of Ms. Seema Biswas On Theatre

Even in today's world theatre is facing many problem among which the main problem is amount of money which is given to the theatre artist.
The prominent actress Mrs. Seema Biswas also said in her interview that now a day earning in theatre is very little, the amount which you get in theatre is even not enough to fulfill your family stomach.
In her interview she also highlighted the scenario of the theatre by comparing it with the youtube videos, television and films.
Most major problem  faced by the Indian theatre is the place to perform as there are only few theatre where artist can perform. Most of the Theatre groups don't have their theatre where they can practice. Even Government have built several auditoriums and although these public halls are cheaper to rent, they are not well equipped and are poorly maintained.
Audience of the theatre is also getting shrink, as people are much more interested in the nets in the comparison of the theatre which is classical. Most of the youth don't know real taste of  the theatre as they never experience it.
But she also said the power which theatre possess is much more in the comparison of the other medium. She clearly say that the content of the theatre is too the point majorly targeting the social evils of the society while the other medium make  the content in order to earn money. It is the beautiful form of art which India ever posses in its treasure and it is the duty of the Indian Audience  to carry this legacy and to make theatre as rich as it was 5,000 year ago.

8th edition of theatre olympic

It was the first time that the 8th edition of Theatre Olypmics had been held in India which initiative  taken by the national school of  drama under the Ministry of Culture. The event was inaugurated in New Delhi by the Vice President of India(Venkaih Naidu) on Feeb 17, 2018. It run under the theme of the flag of friendship.  The main concept of the theatre Olympics is started by the Theodorus Terzopolous in 1993 which happened in the Greece, Delphi. This theatre olympics include 500 plays & 700 ambience performances from all across the world and Allied activities like exhibitions, seminars, symposia, interactive discussions and workshops with well-known academicians, authors, actors, designers and directors will be held.
