8th edition of theatre olympic

It was the first time that the 8th edition of Theatre Olypmics had been held in India which initiative  taken by the national school of  drama under the Ministry of Culture. The event was inaugurated in New Delhi by the Vice President of India(Venkaih Naidu) on Feeb 17, 2018. It run under the theme of the flag of friendship.
 The main concept of the theatre Olympics is started by the Theodorus Terzopolous in 1993 which happened in the Greece, Delphi.

This theatre olympics include 500 plays & 700 ambience performances from all across the world and Allied activities like exhibitions, seminars, symposia, interactive discussions and workshops with well-known academicians, authors, actors, designers and directors will be held. All this things is still taking place in the National school of drama campus or auditorium such as Kamini, Shri ram center, Little Theater Group in New Delhi.
 
It celebration of theatre in the world will take place from February 17 till April 08, 2018 and has been held in 15 cities across India.

The inaugural ceremony of the Theatre Olympics had take place in New Delhi, in a gala function with performances by hundreds of artistes while the closing ceremony will take place in Mumbai.


 If you really want to experience the real theatre of the Indian society then you should go and grab the ticket soon as there is not that much time left as well as book ticket in the advance as the quality of the play is so good that most of the time auditorium are houseful.
