Role of technician in theatre

After the theatre performance the thing which you love the most is the acting of the actor but the thing which we always forget is the technical aspect in which the technician play a very important role.  He is the one who looks after the lights, sounds, microphone, stage design and many more technical aspect of the theatre.

In this set designer play a very important role as he has to design the set according to the writer, he not only go through the script but also have to visualize that how a particular scene would look like when he add the particular element to it,  like in the emotional scene what should be the intensity of the light and which color of light should be used.

"The set designer has to think about many things like the placement of the light which decide the intensity of the scene, props and many more and ultimately sometime it hurts that we guys don't get that much appreciation in the comparison of the actors." said Shakti, Technician of Alive play.

The another important thing after which they look is the sound as the sound is one thing which help in knowing the scene that what is all about and whether the scene is comedy or serious, for example we have seen many times that even in the serious scene we laugh because of the music and it is the sound effect which make the scene much more scary which support the scene.

In the end we can say, theatre performance is not effort of one person but is work of all and everyone should get appreciation for their work irrespective of the work which he/she has done.
